Can't get past lesson 4 on Mac

vanopeli@att.net » 周六 10月 16, 2010 8:05 pm

I went into text edit, changed preferences to text, and started my lesson. I really don't understand about opening a second browser page, tried it but don't know what to search for.
I did the lesson, but when i got to the part about opening my page on the browser, it looked exactly as I had typed it, not like a web page.
I opened source, and a lot of other stuff was there. I copied it so you'd know what it is.

I tried getting started on windows 98 many years ago, and didn't have these problems, but Windows would freeze up. I love my Mac, it doesn't freeze up, but somehow I don't seem able to make the jump from your instructions for Windows, though I followed what you said to do for Mac.
I feel like going to sleep forever away from computers, but I don't believe in suicide, so I'm just frustrated as can be.
I got this Mac over two years ago hoping for quantum increase in abilities, but all I can still do is e-mail surf, edit music and pages.
I keep hearing how simple HTML is, but I just can't seem to get started, even with your tutorials.

Help!

It just mean that you should open the browser one more time - so that you can look at two websites at the same time (the tutorial and your own page). Does it make sense?

Yes, keep two browser windows opened, so that you can switch screens between the tutorial and your own work.

I am sorry if it is not clear. Any suggestions for a better wording?
